Decomposing, structuring and estimating project work | Print |

for PMO, project portfolio, program and project managers

You are an experienced project manager, assistant or team member with a high level of responsibility and you are familiar with the foundations of project management?
and/or

You would like to move further towards project management "Best Practices"?
and/or

You (will) manage a part of a complex project and need special know-how for your area of responsibility?

Then this is the right place for you:
Decomposition and estimation are key components and skills in project management. Poor decomposition leads to a poor foundation for estimations, vague description of the work to be done and its acceptance criteria and unclear definitions of roles and responsibilities. Therefore, it is in itself a risk or opportunity for the project. PMI's ® standards in conjunction with expert opinions and statistical and mathematic estimating techniques help mastering these complex tasks. This seminar is dedicated to proven processes, methods and instruments to effectively decompose, clearly structure and realistically estimate project work.

The facts

Why should you consider this seminar?
Project requirements and scope determine all other planning elements of project management. Clear limits and definitions as well as the decomposition of the project scope into compact, measurable and communicable work packages is a, if not the, main task in project management.

This seminar is dedicated to the effective decomposition of a project into work packages and activities and the development of a clear work breakdown structure. Based on the work breakdown structure, you will learn to realistically estimate time, resources and costs.
