Microeconomics for project management | Print |

for PMO, program, project portfolio and project managers as well as team members with reponsibility

You are an experienced project manager, assistant or team member with a high level of responsibility and you are familiar with the foundations of project management?
and/or

You would like to understand, evaluate and present your project in its microeconomic context?

Then this is the right place for you:
Senior management increasingly expects project managers to be comfortable with microeconomic terms and instruments. This includes planning, monitoring and controlling in consideration of turnover, costs, cash flow, stock, backlogs and other financial indicators. Participants of this seminar receive a compact and practical introduction into microeconomic tasks and instruments that are relevant for project management.

The facts

Why should you consider this seminar?
Projects take place in a microeconomic context. They need resources and a budget from the organization, which is usually financed through the day to day business turnover. At the same time, they usually are directly or indirectly part of that organization's turnover.

Project changes, successes and failures influence the organization's controlling, accounting and finance. For project managers with no microeconomic background, it is not always obvious how and what the influence and the effects on the organization and other projects will be. At the same time, project managers are increasingly asked to explain or justify the benefits and status of the project for the organization in microeconomic terms.

This seminar covers important microeconomic instruments, how to apply them to project management and how to translate the project's status and benefits into microeconomic terms.
