Fundamentals of project management and project work | Print |

for managers exposed to projects

You are exposed to project management, e.g. because as a line manager you need to make resources available to projects, you are selling projects as services or you are asked to act as a project sponsor and you would like to understand how people think and act in a project environment - and what they expect and need from you?

Then this is the right place for you:
There are many points of interaction between project and line work: senior managers become project sponsors, line managers are asked to provide resources to projects, experts are placed in a project environment and sales departments sell projects as services to external clients. This seminar intends to provide managers exposed to project work with valuable knowledge on the structure and methods of project management to improve the interaction between project and line work.

The facts

Why should you consider this seminar?
Projects are commonly and widely used for translating strategies and changes into action as well as delivering services to clients. Within their life cycle they interact with other areas and levels of the organization. Decisions made within the context of the project may have positive or negative influences on other parts of the organization and vice versa. Knowing the fundamentals of project management is an asset when it comes to understanding causes and effects of decisions between project and line work.

Moreover, the methods and techniques used to manage projects are a great structuring tool for other complex tasks and jobs.
